Restoration for Recreation

We need you!

Join us for some hands-on restoration along Dutch Creek on Oct 14 and/or 17. Enjoy a day of hard work helping to restore stream banks beside recreational bridges while also improving habitat for bull trout and westslope cutthroat trout.

  • No experience necessary 
  • Free hot lunch 
  • Free event, but registration is required by October 9
  • Come for one or both days
  • Have some experience?  Let us know if you have some experience in restoration and bioengineering. 
  • Can you help with equipment? Please bring hand pruning shears, tree loppers and/or work gloves if you have them.  Let us know if you can bring a pick-up truck. 

Willow Harvest Day

Wednesday, October 14 | 1 pm to 4 pm
Harvest location to be determined. Details will be provided directly to registrants.  

Restoration Day

Saturday, October 17 | 9 am to 4 pm
We will meet at the Dutch Creek Provincial Recreation Area (campground) located approximately 40 km north of Coleman along the Forestry Trunk Road. Alternate restoration day set for October 24 in case of bad weather.
